After almost 30 years on the market as producers of high quality dancewear for ballet and leisure, Arabesque by Claire would like to promote its products worldwide; what better way than on the web??!!
Since the beginning we have specialized in the production of knitted dancewear, thanks to the idea of Claire Mesnard, former professional dancer, who during her career could not find high quality warm up clothes that would meet her demands.
“As former professional dancer and founder of the company, I have always believed thet good “old fashioned” wool and a good barre are the key to warming up and preventing injuries” says Claire, who still does barre 3 times a week.
In 1980 she founded Arabesque by Claire with her partner Giovanni Grossi and since 2004 her daughter Melissa Mesnard has been running the family business.
Today our line of dancewear includes: cross over cardigans in wool and cotton for children and adults, different lengths of legwarmers, shorts, various models of full suits, sweatpants, leggings and jazz tights and stretch cotton catsuits.
Recently we have expanded our production of dancewear by creating a “Dance-Fashion” line in stretch wool.
Our products are suitable for many different uses besides ballet and we would like to cater to all those people who are looking for high quality and for garments that are comfortable and allow them to move with freedom whether in a ballet studio, yoga and stretching classes, jogging in the park, walking down the street or simply relaxing at home.
Also, some “classics” of ballet have entered the world of “fashion” and streetwear:
-legwarmers, to wear over high heels, boots or sneakers;
-cross over cardigans, versatile but elegant in every occasion;
-leggings, to wear under miniskirts;
-full suits, comfortable and ideal for pregnant women....To you, the freedom of choice!!!
Our knitted garments are made of high quality Merinos wool and for our accessories (cross over in cotton, dance belt, sweatpants) we only use the best fabric available on the market..
Our products are all hand finished, checked and packed personally by us and Made in Italy with pride.
Our aim over the years has always been to offer quality and good service and will continue to do so in the future.
